We all know that customers are not going to your website every day, so where are they? They are on Facebook/Instagram/BlueSky/LinkedIn, so that’s where you need to be so they can find you to buy from.

I know it's a pain, working out what to post, when to post, where to post, dealing with the trolls in the comments and direct messages -  outsource that stress to me. We’ll work together to format a content plan, I’ll do the posting for you, answer your D.M’s and comments and provide a monthly report so you can see how you’re doing.

It’s not just a case of ‘post this for me now’ -  you need a plan that is approved in advance so I can schedule 24 hours ahead and make quick amends if anything changes during that period.

This is how I work.

This is my process for creating scripts to go in your content plan

  1. Shorten your website paragraphs so they fit on social media platforms so people can see immediately what you are offering without having to ‘click to see more’

  2. If I am posting to more than one platform, I’ll check that the right tags are being used to notify people/brands that they are being talked about, and to encourage them to share.

  3. You no longer need 50 million hashtags for Instagram, (thank you Adam Mosseri - Head of Instagram for those who don’t know) but it’s still important to have a few for your keywords so they are highlighted in the text. I will do this.

  4. Create an image description text for your image so someone using a screen reader can understand your picture. And I will also have this added to the text so people with bad eyesight but no screenreader can understand what your highly detailed image on their tiny mobile screen is showing. This is best practice advised by the Royal National Institute for the Blind

  5. I vehemently disagree that you should not have your links in the post - how else are people going to be able to click on your ‘buy now’ button? The exception here is Instagram, where it will always be added as a comment as well as put into your bio.

  6. And #PascalCase is a must for all hashtags with multiple words. Not just for screenreaders, but to make them more readable for everybody. Let Graham Norton demonstrate the chaos that can ensue when they aren’t used
